Weather System Approaching Western Europe with Minimal Impact on Morocco
Western Europe is expected to experience weather disruptions later this week as a low-pressure system from the North Atlantic heads toward France, Spain, and Portugal. This system, resulting from the weakening of the former tropical storm "Kirk," is set to bring rain and strong winds to these regions on Thursday and Friday.
In contrast, Moroccan meteorological services have indicated that the impact on Morocco will be limited. While some indirect changes may occur, such as a slight drop in temperatures in northern regions, the overall effect is expected to be mild. Additionally, waves may increase slightly along the Atlantic coast starting this evening and continuing through Thursday.
As for the weather in the coming days, scattered showers are expected to affect northern areas, particularly in Tangier, the Loukkos region, and the western Rif, beginning late today. Light rain is also possible across the northern plains and surrounding areas.
Experts predict that by the weekend, another weather system may bring stronger rainfall to the Atlas Mountains, the Mediterranean coast, and the east of the country. In southern areas, strong winds carrying dust are also likely to develop.
